[Original Stage Productions]
gPostwar Japanese literature has produced a stunning variety of novelists. But one stands out as being in a class by himself: Inoue Hisashi. His fantasy novel, "Boon & Phoon," about the ups and downs in the career of a no-hope writer whose characters come to life, sold more than two million copies. What makes Inoue's literature stand out is the essential humanity his characters possess.hiRoger Pulvers, The Japan Times)
Mr. Inoue started his career as a drama writer in 1969, when he wrote his first stage play gNihonjin no Hesoh for Theatre Echo. Mr. Inoue also wrote the following titles for production at Theater Echo.
- Omoteura Gennai Kaeru Gassen 1970
- 11piki no Neko 1971
- Dogen no Bouken (The Adventures of Dogen) 1971
- Chinyaku Seisho 1973
- Sorekara no Bun to Fun@(Boon & Phoon) 1975
